Course Overview

Change Rule 1: Change is a natural part of everyday life! So, to thrive and not just survive change is hard but necessary for both organisations and their employees. Is your organisation or team going through small or significant changes right now? Improvement and growth can only occur through a process of change, and while that all sounds good, “change” is a word that can strike fear into the hearts of employees.

Whether these changes are small or significant if managed well, a change through personal resilience can bring renewal and revitalisation. If managed poorly, efforts to bring about change in an organisation is anywhere from difficult to disastrous.

During this engaging training workshop, managers and employees will gain a greater appreciation of the change process, as well as learn how to respond positively to the changes taking place around them. They’ll learn that rather than fear or resist change, they can develop “personal tools”. They will learn how to cope and implement a change process better that works for rather than against them, other individuals, their team or the organisation.

  • Why are work and life constantly changing, and why must you be able to recognise change is inevitable, and how developing personal resilience can alleviate many of the pressures and stress that comes with change

  • Change can be difficult. How to be more comfortable when things change and are ok with failure and setbacks.
  • Identify how you can perform optimally through change and how to be more assertive and resilient
  • Learn how to quickly accelerate the process of bouncing back from setbacks and adversity
  • Discover how to quickly re-frame challenging situations and learn valuable lessons from difficulty
  • How to create inspiring goals that reflect your values and be able to create an action plan beyond today

  • Defining the roles of change.
  • Kotter’s 8 steps for leading change.
  • Understanding the change curve.
  • Leading people effectively from worry too commitment.
  • How to have effective conversations with team members.
  • A model for leading a team change.
  • Understanding and dealing with resistance to change.
  • The role of a change leader.
  • The right way to address and decreasing stress and how to focus on productivity and results.
  • Set a positive example for others when handling change in the workplace and developing your change plan.
Afternoon Session
  • An introduction to research into personal resilience, positive psychology.
  • Are you resilient? Take the resilience questionnaire.
  • What are the core beliefs of resilient people?
  • Dealing with the resistance to change, transform and grow to your potential.
  • Developing your personal vision, mission and life objectives. (Starting the journey for getting what you want out of your life).
  • How to increase your self-acceptance and self-esteem.
  • Reframing. Learning how to change your perspective when faced with challenges.
